It has a spacious cabin that can accommodate a patient bound to a stretcher and five additional combined crew members and passengers. We also provide a spacious and private lavatory for your comfort and convenience. Air Medical Charters - Our Program and Medical Directors Dr. Jorge E. Perez is a board-certified neonatologist with over twenty years of neonatal intensive critical care experience. He is an associate partner to KIDZ Medical Services. He has been the Program Director for multiple neonatal ground and air neonatal transport teams as well as the Medical Director for multiple Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County hospitals. He concurrently directs the transports of high-risk maternal patients. As the Medical Director for NICU Levels II and III, he oversees the development of protocols, policy and procedures, neonatal surgeries, and medical training, and is involved in the practice of family-centered care. Dr. Jorge E. Perez is the founder and Program Director for Air Medical Charters and oversees all medical transports, training for aviation and medical teams, quality assurance coordination, and writing of transport policies, procedures, and protocols. Dr. Albert Tano is a board-certified neonatologist with over twenty years of neonatal intensive care and pediatric emergency care experience. He is an associate partner to KIDZ Medical Services. He oversees the hiring and training of new medical personnel and has been the Director for Pediatric Emergency Services since its inception in 1996. Dr. Albert Tano also serves as the Medical Director for multiple pediatric emergency room hospitals in both Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County hospitals. He is the Associate Program Director of Air Medical Charters and oversees both neonatal and pediatric transports, aviation and medical training, quality assurance coordination, and transport policies, procedures, and protocols. Air Medical Charters has a Medical Director for each specialty. The Medical Director for Adult Critical Care is Dr. Ernesto Perez. He has over thirty years of clinical experience in adult internal medicine and critical care. Dr. Pasalodos is our Medical Director for maternal transports. He has served as medical director for several medical groups and has been the immediate past president of the Miami Ob-Gyn Society, past president of the William A. Little Ob-Gyn Society, a previous member of the Public Safety Committee for the City of Coral Gables, the immediate past president of Informed Families, and a board member of the Health Foundation of South Florida, which donates $7 million annually to health related organizations in the tri-county area. Our Medical Director for Pediatric Critical Care is Dr. Steven Schultz. He is both certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care. He was the Director of the Pediatric Cardiac ICU at Holtz Children's Hospital, University of Miami and has played an integral role in the development of the Pediatric Sedation Program and the Pediatric Open Heart Surgery Program at St. Mary's Hospital which will be launching in the fall of 2010.

Each of these five Medical Directors contributes many years of experience and expertise and share an integral role within their specialty transports which includes the making of policy and procedures, writing of protocols, participation in the Air Medical Charters continuous quality improvement plan and Air Medical Charters' "Commitment to Excellence!" Air Medical Charters - Our Team Our medical team is comprised of Medical Doctors, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, Rescue Paramedics, Critical Care Registered Nurses, and Critical Care Registered Respiratory Therapists. Air Medical Charters maintains an on-call schedule consisting of one member from each area of practice. This includes a specialty team for neonatal transports. When a request comes in, a team is put together based on the needs of the patient. This on-call team is designed to report within one hour of notification. Most of our members not only meet this requirement, they have ten to twenty years plus experience in their areas of practice including both air and ground transport experience, and have acquired certifications for their areas of practice. All members have taken advanced training in medical flight physiology and posses the D.O.T. 40 hr AMCCC certificate, participate in annual OSHA and FAA flight safety training, annual equipment competencies, and participate in specialty rotations in clinical settings. They maintain ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and a trauma certification. Each of their pilots is in compliance with the FAA Part 135 training requirements, which includes receiving both ground and flight training twice a year. Their combined 30,000 hours of flight time experience and training leads to a safe and smooth flight for every transport. Our aircraft is serviced and maintained by Quality Corporate Aircraft Services, a company with over 25 years of mechanical aviation experience and expertise.
